The Sunset Limited

A dramatized reading of undying consequence*

by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Cormac McCarthy
The Road, No Country for Old Men

About the Play
In this play by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Cormac McCarthy (The Road, No Country for Old Men), a well-meaning ex-convict interrupts the suicide attempt of an intellectual cynic and strains to convince the man that his life is worth saving. Locked in a theological debate, the two men bare convictions and doubts, but are mere words enough to change the disillusioned professor’s mind? And if he goes through with his plan, will his self-appointed rescuer’s faith be damaged beyond repair?
