Valley Repertory Theatre announces open auditions for their upcoming One-Act Writing Competition and Festival. We have selected the winning One-Acts from a wonderful assortment that were submitted for judging last year, all by local Oregon playwrights who are excited to see their works brought to life on stage this Spring!
Auditions will take place at the Chehalem Cultural Center, 415 E. Sheridan St., in Newberg from 7-9 PM on Monday, March 6th and Tuesday, March 7th.
Actors are encouraged to prepare a 1-2 minute monologue of their choosing. If none is prepared, we will provide you with a monologue to read.
Actors must schedule their 6 minute time slot by reserving it at here
We are casting for four separate one-acts, but all actors will be in at least 2 of the 4 shows and we will be performing all 4 shows each night. We are open to all ages/ genders/ ethnicities so we encourage anyone to audition. At the minimum we will be casting 3 females and 2 males of varying ages. We would also like to find one male who can pass for Japanese if possible.
Rehearsals begin March 26th and will run on weekday evenings and possibly some Saturdays and/ or Sundays.
Tech week is week of April 24th, Dress week starts May 1st.
Performances run May 4-7, 11-14, and 18-21, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30, and Sunday at 2:00.
